Lukas Smith

Roger and Jesse Smith welcomed Lukas Smith into their lives on January 9th, 2007. Lukas came into this world with a congenital heart defect in which he was born with only one ventricle.

Lukas is being treated by Dr. Chris Stefanelli at Northwest Children's Heart Care in Tacoma. Lukas underwent two heart surgeries in 2007 at Children's Hospital in Seattle, Washington and is currently awaiting another heart surgery.

Roger, Jesse and Lukas live in the Puyallup, Washington area. Roger is a teacher and Jesse works for World Vision.

The Smith family has an internet blog that wonderfully describes their journey with Lukas. Their blog is also intended to keep family and friends updated on Luke's progress.
